Three people were killed in an attack on the village of Yanuh in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, the attack was aimed at a leading figure in the Islamist movement Hezbollah.
In addition to the leading figure, a member of the Lebanese security forces and the member's three-year-old child, who was nearby, were also killed, according to the state-run Lebanese news agency NNA. The Israeli military said it was investigating reports that civilians had been killed in the attack.
Earlier on Monday, another person was killed by Israeli fire in the border town of Aita al-Shaab. According to Israel, the person was a Hezbollah member.
Israel has continued to attack targets in Lebanon despite a formal ceasefire with Hezbollah since November 2024.
