The Israeli military has not commented on any individual attack but says the military "struck several Hamas infrastructures during the night."
A fragile ceasefire has been in place between Israel and Hamas, which is branded a terrorist group, since October last year. Since then, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, according to Hamas-controlled authorities.
Israel says it is continuing to fight the extremist movement Hamas and has expanded the area under military control.
