The police were alerted at 05.54 after a car had rolled over several times and ended up on its roof, reports Sydsvenskan.
A large rescue operation is underway at the scene and four people have been taken to hospital by ambulance.
We are on site with three stations and resources from ambulance care, says Linus Steffenson, commanding officer at the rescue service, to Sydsvenskan early in the morning.
The police state that the injured are two women and two men, all in their 20-25 years of age. According to Region Skåne, the women have severe injuries.
One person is believed to have left the accident site. The police have searched for this person with, among other things, a dog patrol, but without finding anyone.
The incident is classified as gross negligence in traffic and gross bodily harm.
