A man in his 70s was kidnapped and beaten to death last year. His body was found at a rest stop along the E4 outside Huskvarna.

Four people are now being prosecuted for their involvement in the murder, according to local media.

The man was abducted from Skärholmen in southern Stockholm at the end of April, according to the indictment. He was bound and forced into the trunk of a car. His dead body was found two days later. The man had been severely beaten and died from bleeding.

One man is being prosecuted for the actual murder and for kidnapping, while two other men are being prosecuted for kidnapping. Another person is being prosecuted for gross protection of a criminal.

All the suspects are from the Stockholm area.
