The murder, in the Tolered district, is considered to be one in a long series of violent crimes linked to the gang conflict in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg. The victim was a man in his 30s, while two boys in their early teens were nearly hit by bullets.
Now a man in his 20s is being charged on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, while three other men are being charged on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder.
The gang conflict in Biskopsgården led to two double murders within six months in 2025. The murder in Tolered occurred a week after the second double murder.
"Of course, we consider this incident to be a pure act of revenge," prosecutor Maria Thorell told Göteborgs-Posten.
