After Dara and her entry "Banagaranga" took home the victory at the ESC in Vienna this weekend, Bulgaria will host the competition next year.

The capital Sofia is seen as the pre-favourite thanks to its logistical conditions and arena capacity, but Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas have also officially registered their interest with the country's government.

Culture Minister Evtim Miloshev tells Bulgarian BNT that all four options must now be carefully evaluated.

Bulgaria's hosting will be at the same level as Austria's, he says.

Bulgaria has abstained from the ESC in recent years, partly because the country has not had a strong enough economy to compete, according to Danish TV2.
