We believe that the investigation suggests that the background to this is a conflict between a relative of the murdered man and a criminal network that to some extent has connections to the Foxtrot network, says prosecutor Tomas Olvmyr.

A criminal investigation into the murder contractors is still ongoing.

One person is detained, one person is detained in their absence, and there is a third person, a young person, who has been assigned a public defender.

According to a witness statement, two of the boys are suspected of murdering the man and attempting to murder two of his sons. Two more are suspected of aiding and abetting murder and attempted murder.

All four were under 15 years old when the man was shot dead at his home, and therefore cannot be sentenced to any punishment, but rather damages.

One of the boys was reported missing by his parents when the police found him on a train two days after the murder. The contents of his phone have helped the police to identify the other suspects.

One of the four boys is also being prosecuted, along with a 13-year-old boy, for conspiracy to commit a murder in Stockholm that was planned to take place in mid-August 2024. The crime was not carried out.
