Last week, Epic Games claimed that Apple had blocked a new version of the game and not released it in its store for download. The game for the IOS operating system would therefore "be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it", the company announced then.
"Fortnite is back", writes Epic Games on X on Wednesday night.
The dispute between Epic Games and Apple is the latest turn in a long-standing conflict over who should earn money from customers. The game company has demanded to be able to bypass Apple's online store to avoid the 30-percent fees that the tech company charges as an intermediary.
A few weeks ago, a court in California ruled in favor of Epic Games. Apple must allow links to external payment systems in apps. Similar, but even stricter rules have also applied in the EU since last year.
