A player of the survival game "Fortnite" is sentenced in court to pay over 1.6 million kronor to the game manufacturer Epic Games after cheating in several of the game's online tournaments. The player is also banned from the game for life, writes NME.
Epic Games states that the money will be donated to charitable purposes.
It was last year that the player cheated in about twenty tournaments, among other things by using memory manipulation. When he was discovered, he created new fake accounts and won a total of around 65,000 kronor.
"Fortnite" exists in three different versions and has more than 650 million registered users worldwide.
