The situation around Iran will be discussed on Thursday by EU interior and migration ministers. So far, however, there is no indication of large refugee flows.
"We don't see any such signs today. But we are following this very closely; things can change at very short notice," says Forssell on his way into the meeting.
At the same time, he is clear that he does not want to see the same as in 2015, when refugees from Syria arrived in Europe in large numbers. Potential refugees should not have to - or be allowed to - go that far this time.
"We don't want a repeat of the refugee crisis of ten years ago. It may be appropriate to help on-site or in the surrounding area," says Forssell.
