The opposition is now united in opposing the deportations, where young people who grew up with their families in Sweden are threatened with being deported alone when they turn 18.
"It is important that the legislation is restrictive and sets requirements, but it should also be reasonable. I see there is a problem. I am keen to find a solution to it," says Forssell.
The Social Democrats swung on the issue on Saturday and demanded a "freeze" of the deportations until "the legal situation is clarified."
But Forssell waves the demand away as a type of "special solutions and abrupt changes" that the government wants to move away from.
