National team veteran and midfielder star Emil Forsberg's New York Red Bulls lost the MLS final against LA Galaxy with 2–1.
The start of the match was something of a nightmare for New York, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic's old team had scored two goals after 13 minutes.
Captain Emil Forsberg was close to reducing the score in the second half with a shot just outside the goal in the 72nd minute. Fellow countryman Noah Eile, previously in Malmö FF, was also in the starting lineup for New York Red Bulls.
