The all-Swedish hockey final took on a different look in Nobelhallen. After Björklöven started the series strongly with two 4–2 victories, it was Bik Karlskoga who started strong this time.
The home team took the lead and led 3–2 after the first period and 4–3 after the second.
“Incredibly strong”
After two we weren't really happy with how things looked, but we have the strength to stay in the games. In the third we'll get a grip on it, Björklöven's Fredrik Forsberg told TV4.
It was nice and incredibly strong to turn it around.
Marcus Björk tied the score at 4–4 on the power play after 15:04, and with 2:11 left in the third period Fredrik Forsberg scored the winning goal.
Two goals within 2:45.
The third period was very good; we created chances and came out the way we wanted. We put pressure on them and the payoff came pretty quickly, Forsberg said.
It was psychologically tough for them. We are really pleased.
“Sour”
Bik Karlskoga coach Dennis Hall:
Sour. This one was and is tough. It was going to be a more open match, which we knew beforehand when we adjusted and pushed a little more. It paid off. Four goals at home, then you have to find a way to win, he said.
Björklöven lead the series 3–0 and are therefore one victory away from promotion to the SHL.
The final series continues on Wednesday, also in Nobelhallen in Karlskoga.
