The Bahrain Grand Prix was supposed to be held in April, but due to the war in the Middle East, the race was canceled.
Now the International Automobile Federation (FIA) announces that the race will be held at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia on October 4. The race is sandwiched between the races in Azerbaijan (September 26) and Singapore (October 11).
Malaysia hosted F1 races until 2017, before it was dropped due to increased costs.
It is currently unclear how the FIA will handle the season-ending races in Qatar (November 29) and Abu Dhabi (December 6) if the war continues. Brazil, Italy and Turkey are said to be among the options.
