Russian Kramnik has, among other things, accused grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky of cheating.

The federation says it takes cheating seriously, but that Kramnik has not presented "sufficient evidence" and that his actions violate the federation's rules against cyberbullying.

Kramnik writes to the AP news agency that he plans to appeal the suspension, which is valid for at least one year.

Daniel Naroditsky died last year at the age of 29.
