Björck refereed extensively in the Swedish Football League and also at international level and was one of the leading figures of his time. After his active career, he served as vice-chairman of both UEFA's and FIFA's refereeing committees.

He has been an incredibly important person for Swedish referees. An incredibly warm, kind and humorous person. And he was always on the referees' side. He supported them in a fantastic way, said former elite referee Jonas Eriksson to Expressen.
