Igelström has lived and worked in Doha since 2025 and is responsible for all swimming activities in a large school group, Expressen and Aftonbladet report.
"I am in a position where I can't just leave. I have a responsibility - for the business, for my employees and for the families who are affected by the decisions we make," writes Igelström, who, among other things, won four World Championship gold medals in short track and three European Championship gold medals in long track during his career.
