As in the district court, the man is sentenced to forensic psychiatric care.
The 34-year-old man worked as an IT consultant for the Armed Forces from 2018 to 2022. In the fall of 2025, according to the verdict, he tried to pass on secret information he had obtained to Russia.
After a forensic psychiatric examination this summer, he was found to suffer from a serious mental disorder. The district court also convicted him of attempted espionage and two counts of molestation.
The man is also suspected of conspiracy to commit murder in another case, which is still under investigation.
