The former chairman of Allsvenskan football club IFK Norrköping, Peter Hunt, has passed away after a rapid illness, reports Norrköpings Tidningar (NT). The newspaper has been in contact with the family, who confirm the death.
Hunt took over as chairman in 2010 when the classic club played in Superettan after being relegated from Allsvenskan in 2008. "Peking" returned to the country's top series during Hunt's first year, and in 2015 the club won its 13th and most recent Swedish Championship gold.
Peter Hunt left the post of chairman at the beginning of 2021.
According to NT, Hunt had a board assignment in the ice hockey association Vita Hästen in recent times.
Peter Hunt was 71 years old.
