Israel's former Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon accuses the government of ethnic cleansing in northern Gaza.

Moshe Yaalon, who resigned from the post of Defense Minister after a conflict with Netanyahu in 2016, now accuses the current government of having set out to "occupy, annex, ethnically cleanse".

Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu's party Likud accuses Yaalon of "false statements".

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has previously issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and the former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as they are accused of crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Israel denies the accusations and has called the court's decision anti-Semitic.
