Hard rock drummer Les Binks, former member of Judas Priest, has passed away, 73 years old. According to media reports, he died in March, but the death is confirmed only now by the members of Judas Priest, reports NME. Les Binks left the band as early as 1979 but reunited with his former colleagues for a performance in 2022 in connection with Judas Priest being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
"We deeply mourn Les' passing and send our love to his family, friends, and fans," the band writes on Instagram, describing Les Binks' drumming as first class.
"Thanks Les – your fame will live on...", writes Judas Priest.
Les Binks also played with David Ellefson, bassist in Megadeth, who describes their collaboration as "a dream come true".
