Mikael Stahre did not stay long in the Indian football league. The 49-year-old, who among other things led AIK to SM gold in 2009, has been sacked as coach for Kerala Blasters FC just half a year after signing a two-year contract with the club.
Assistant coach Björn Wesström, long-time sports manager at AIK, is also let go.
"Kerala Blasters FC confirms that head coach Mikael Stahre, along with assistant coaches Björn Wesström and Frederico Pereira Morais, are leaving their respective roles with immediate effect", writes Kerala on its website.
After just three wins in twelve played matches, Kerala lies in tenth place out of thirteen in the Indian top league.
