Dalkurd was founded in Borlänge in 2004, but moved its operations to Uppsala ahead of the 2018 Allsvenskan (Sweden's top football league) season.
The men's team last played in Division 2 two years ago. After that season, the club was forcibly relegated to Division 4.
The 2018 Allsvenskan season was the club's high point, but it was not a major success with the public. Dalkurd had the lowest average attendance in the league's history, with just 1,058 spectators per match.
Only 202 people attended the match against Häcken, the second-lowest attendance ever in the Allsvenskan. Dalkurd spent one year in the league, finished second-last and were relegated.
