The forest fire south of Boxholm started on Monday afternoon. Firefighters have been water-bombing during the day, which has had a good effect.

The fire department is on site overnight to check that the fire does not flare up again.

The fire outside Hultsfred started on Sunday and spread over 10 hectares. By late evening, firefighters had the fire under control, including with the help of helicopters that water-bombed.

The fire service is now also getting help from landowners with mopping up and monitoring.

They will be there for maybe four or five more days, rescue leader Ulf Bowein tells TT.
