”The Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against all travel to Israel. The advice applies until further notice”, writes one in a press release.

This means that the MFA advises against tourist and visit trips, work trips and all other types of trips.

”When the MFA advises against travel, it is a signal that the security situation is serious and that the foreign authority has limited opportunities to provide consular support”, writes the MFA's press service in an email to TT.

The new advice is a tightening of the MFA's previous advice, which applied to non-essential travel and all travel to the Golan Heights and border areas against Gaza and Lebanon.

At the same time, the MFA expands its advice against travel to Palestine. Now, the MFA advises against all travel to the whole of Palestine, instead of Gaza and large parts of the West Bank as previously.

”Swedes on site are urged to exercise great caution and follow the development of events via local and international media, to take part in the ongoing travel information from the foreign authorities via the app UD Resklar or Sweden Abroad, and to register on the Swedish list”, writes the press service.
