Foreign Minister Condemns US Shooting at Jewish Museum as Appalling

Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) comments on last night's fatal shooting at the Jewish Museum in Washington, USA. In a post on X, she writes that she is "deeply saddened" by the incident and that her thoughts are with "their loved ones and the Jewish people".

She writes that the act is a "terrible example of how hatred and anti-Semitism must never be normalized".

EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas also writes on X and condemns the act: "There should be no place for hatred, extremism, or anti-Semitism in our society", she writes.

Several other world leaders, including those from the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, condemn the incident.
