The drone was found on the ice of Lake Pyhäjärvi on Tuesday morning. According to the Border Guard, it is an "unmanned, fixed-wing aerial vehicle" that is larger than a civilian drone. Yle reports.
The origin of the drone is unclear, but it is not Finnish.
"It is a foreign device," Riku Heinonen of the Border Guard told Yle.
It is unclear how long the drone has been on the ice, and there is no information about any injuries.
On Sunday, two drones, likely originating from Ukraine, crashed in southeastern Finland.
