Several binding bids have been placed from foreign interests on the bankrupt battery manufacturer Northvolt, confirms the bankruptcy administrator Mikael Kubu to Ekot on Sveriges Radio.

We are working to get a binding agreement in place. It is the main track. With someone as soon as possible, he says to Ekot.

He describes the negotiations as complex.

According to Ekot's information, it is about non-Swedish stakeholders from Europe, North America, Asia, and specifically India.

The interest concerns both the battery factory in Skellefteå and the so-called Northvolt Labs, the development center in Västerås.

Northvolt applied for bankruptcy in March.
