An internal component in the 2021-2026 Ford Bronco and 2021-2024 Ford Edge could cause the system to overheat and the display to turn off. The recall affects 849,310 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the screen on the 2020–2022 Ford Escape and Ford Corsair, as well as the 2020–2024 Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Explorer, may display incorrect rearview images. 889,950 vehicles are affected.
Ford is not aware of any injuries or accidents that have occurred as a result of the issues.
A free software update is available for Bronco and Edge models. It can be installed at dealerships or via online updates.
For other affected models, a solution is still under development.
