Ten million of that money will be spent on a national information campaign.
It could be about how the public should act if they discover someone is being subjected to violence, says Minister for Equality Nina Larsson (L).
The other ten million kronor will go to the prevention of sexual violence, including the Preventell helpline, which people with unwanted sexual urges or thoughts, such as obsessive thoughts about committing sexual violence, can contact.
The line is under high pressure and currently does not have time to respond to everyone who contacts us, says Minister of Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed (KD).
An additional 18 million SEK will be reallocated from other appropriations in the budget, including to municipalities' work on safe housing for women exposed to violence.
