Tonight's NHL meeting between New Jersey and Florida became a goal-scarce event. Not until the third period could Swedish Jesper Boqvist break the zero in a match that his Florida ultimately won – on penalties.

He who waits for something good never waits too long, as the saying goes. But he who waited for a goal had to wait for both one and two whole periods when New Jersey faced Florida in NHL ice hockey.

In the third period, however, goals would come – and then it went quickly.

Jesper Boqvist could, just 41 seconds into the period, score the 1–0 goal for Florida, his tenth goal of the season. But New Jersey's response did not take long to wait.

Less than two minutes later, the equalizer to 1–1 came, a result that stood after regular time and overtime.

The match therefore had to be decided on penalties. There, among others, New Jersey star Jesper Bratt missed a penalty, before Finn Anton Lundell could decide for Florida, who won 2–1.

Thus, New Jersey's six-match winning streak at home was broken.
