The heavy rain that hit Boden last week caused major flooding on roads and in basements in the city.
Many roads are still closed, but the flooding appears to have reached its peak, according to Nilsson.
"We have seen a downward trend in water levels," he says.
If the forecasts hold true, the water will largely be able to drain away before new rain falls this weekend, he notes.
Now that the water is receding and the pressure is easing, there is a risk of erosion, says Magnus Nilsson, who continues to warn against staying near - or in - flooded areas, especially in narrow passages.
