A passenger plane made an evasive maneuver while approaching Skavsta Airport in Sörmland this summer after its system warned of a collision with two Gripen fighter jets. SVT Nyheter Sörmland reports that a flight attendant broke her foot in the incident.

The passenger plane was over Östergötland at an altitude of approximately 7,000 meters when the system warned of two JAS 39 Gripen planes taking off from Linköping.

Evasive maneuvers caused a flight attendant to fall and break her foot. Because of the injury, the incident is being investigated by the Swedish Accident Investigation Board (SHK).

The distance between the planes was approximately 900 meters, which, according to SHK, is not very close by aviation standards.

SHK does not see that any obvious errors have been made because the ground traffic control had control of the planes' positions.
