The woman has had a restraining order against the artist and his family since December 2024, writes the Los Angeles Times. She is not allowed to come within 100 meters of the star. Despite this, she ran towards Buckingham when he was about to enter a house in a Santa Monica neighborhood.
Buckingham was not injured in the attack and the woman is at large. However, a police spokesman said she will be arrested shortly.
