The police are at the scene with several patrols and have cordoned off a large area in Furutorpsparken in Helsingborg.
Police spokesman Jakob Palmgren does not want to say whether any suspects are in custody, but says there is no danger to the public.
"It is a suspected crime, I can't say more than that at the moment," he says.
Helsingborgs Dagblad has spoken to witnesses to the incident who say they heard screams from the park and saw an injured girl. Region Skåne writes on its website that the girl is seriously injured and is being treated at Helsingborg Hospital.
