Martin Lundberg is returning to his parent club Skellefteå AIK. The 35-year-old hockey forward, who has been out of contract since last spring, joins the SHL club at the turn of the year and has signed a contract for the rest of the season.
"A player who means a lot to our club and who our supporters feel strongly about. With his experience, his calmness and his hunger to win, he adds further strength to the group," says Skellefteå's general manager Erik Forssell in a press release.
Lundberg has won five Swedish Championship gold medals over the years, two with Skellefteå and three with Växjö.
