With Rasmus Dahlin back, Buffalo is a winner again. And with two young Swedes, who have been promoted to the NHL team, in fine form, Edmonton was defeated by a whopping 5–1.

Rasmus Dahlin missed three games when he went home to Gothenburg to be with his fiancée Carolina Matovac, who had undergone a heart transplant.

Buffalo lost. But once back, the NHL team has won two straight games. Against Edmonton, Dahlin had two assists, both times for Noah Östlund's two goals. It was Östlund's second and third goals in the NHL in 19 games.

He was also assisted on the first goal by Isak Rosén.

"It was fun," says Östlund, in the interview after the match, about the Swedish goal.

Östlund, 21, and Rosén, 22, were picked up from AHL team Rochester when Buffalo suffered injuries to several players. Of course, he now hopes to stay with the NHL team.

It's not my job to decide, but I try to do the best I can every day, says Östlund.

Coach Lindy Ruff is pleased with the young Swedes.

Their development has been really good. You saw how well they played in Rochester, and now you see that they are starting to get more comfortable here. Because of the injuries we have, they have been given bigger roles than they usually get when they are called up, and they have given us as much as they can, Ruff said at the press conference.
