The Swedish police have assisted the Cypriot police with information that led to the arrest on Friday, the police wrote on their website.
The men are known to Swedish police, says Diana Qudhaib, press secretary at the police's national media center, to Sveriges Radio Ekot.
According to Cypriot police, the men are suspected of being part of a murder plot.

The arrest of the Swedes is linked to a previous operation in which three people, two from Norway and one from Ireland, were arrested on suspicion of having been involved in planning the murder of a pair of twins.
