The Financial Supervisory Authority adds five new names to its warning list. The companies lack the necessary permits to operate in Sweden, and according to the authority, it is about scammers who have cheated money through false loans and investments. The scammers often make contact via phone or social media.
"Serious companies will not contact you to offer an investment. Hang up the phone, or block the person", says Moa Langemark, the Financial Supervisory Authority's consumer protection economist, in a press release.
Since the turn of the year, the authority has warned about over 120 names of scam companies.
