The newspaper I Tromsø reports that when their reporter arrived at the accident scene, the cars were about 80 meters apart on the same side of the road. Both vehicles had extensive frontal damage and there were no visible brake marks on the road surface.
E8 in the Troms area, which serves as the approach road to Tromsø, is a very accident-prone road section where several fatal accidents have occurred in recent years.
