The latest information on the injured and dead comes from Dnipropetrovsk region governor Oleksandr Hanzha.

Shops inside the shopping complex started burning as a result of the attack.

"The attack drones struck in two waves - half an hour after the first hit and the fire, a second attack targeted rescue workers," Zelenskyy writes.

Unverified videos on social media appear to show what Zelenskyy is describing, showing a second drone crashing into the already burning and smoking building, AFP news agency reports.

The industrial city of Kryvyi Rih, Volodymyr Zelenskyy's hometown, has repeatedly been in the crosshairs of Russia. It is located about 60 kilometers from the front.

Among the many injured are six children, according to the president.

"Attacks like these are nothing less than acts of terrorism. And the world must respond to them accordingly - with real pressure on the attacker," Zelenskyy writes.
