The home reportedly belongs to a couple living in the municipality of Orange, and the woman gave birth to a healthy baby on Monday. The prosecutor's office in Carpentras in Vaucluse does not want to comment on the information.
In February, a 50-year-old woman was arrested after two babies were found in her freezer in Haute-Saône in eastern France. The most serious French case of infanticide occurred in Hauts-de-France in the north of the country, where a woman was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2015, accused of killing eight babies.
