"The loud explosions were heard across large parts of Norrköping, and many could have been injured," says Jan Hövestam, head of the Östergötland police area, in a press release from the police.
No one was injured in the incidents. On the same day, another explosion was stopped in Norrköping after police seized a thermos bomb.
"As far as the preliminary investigation has shown, the acts were committed on behalf of a criminal network," says prosecutor Michelle Stein in a press release from the Swedish Prosecution Authority.
The police have also seized explosives that were found in a forest area outside Finspång earlier this year.
