In "Toy Story 4", Woody chose to leave life in Bonnie's toy box, but seven years later he, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang are back.
The mission this time is to save Bonnie from her new smart tablet, Lilypad, and to stop technology from taking over children's lives, writes Variety.
Director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton describes the film as an existential confrontation between modern technology and outdated toys.
The voice actors in the English-language original are returning from previous films, with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen leading the way as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. New to the cast are Greta Lee ("The Morning Show") and talk show host Conan O'Brien.
"Toy Story 5" is expected to premiere in Swedish cinemas this summer.
