Alleged attacks are said to have taken place against facilities in, among other places, Aix-en-Provence, Valence, Nîmes, Villepinte, and Nanterre. In Marseille, cars parked near a residence belonging to a person working within the judiciary have been vandalized and set on fire.

Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin writes on X that he is on his way to Toulon to show his support for affected authorities there.

In the post, he makes a connection between the prison attacks and drug trafficking. He writes that France will take comprehensive measures to put a stop to criminal networks.
