The fire in a forest area outside Björklinge, approximately two miles north of Uppsala, is under control on Wednesday evening, reports P4 Uppland. However, the extinguishing work will continue late into the night, according to the rescue service for the radio.
According to UNT, the fire was discovered by a drone shortly after 4 pm. However, due to difficulties in finding the fire, it took some time before the extinguishing work could begin.
At around 6:30 pm, the rescue service reported to the newspaper that it was a fire front of approximately 900 meters. Two firefighting aircraft joined the extinguishing work, which had the desired effect on the fire.
