Twelve former FBI agents who were fired in September are now suing their former employer in an attempt to get their jobs back with the US federal police.

The twelve were fired because FBI Director Kash Patel did not think they were loyal enough to President Donald Trump. The reason for this was that the agents were caught on camera kneeling at protests during the widespread protests against discrimination and violence against black people in 2020.

The kneeling already outraged many within the FBI, but was not seen as a reason for dismissal until Patel took office as director.

The agents claim they were not acting politically, but kneeling as a tactic to reduce tension during the protests.
