Fire on tanker off Oman after reported missile hit near Strait of Hormuz, one dead, two missing

The ship reportedly sent a distress call saying it had been hit by a missile, which is believed to have triggered the fire. One person is reported to have died and two crew members are missing.

"Local authorities have reported that a tanker has a fire in the engine room and are on site to assist with the evacuation," writes UKMTO on X.
