A fire has broken out in the small boat harbor in Björlanda Kile in northern Gothenburg.
We have a fire in at least eight boats and are working on firefighting and limitation. We are working together with the coast guard and sea rescue on site, says Daniel Svensmark, alarm and management operator at the Rescue Service Storgöteborg.
The alarm came in at 05.01. It is unclear if anyone has been injured.
I have no knowledge of that, but we have an ambulance with us, says Daniel Svensmark.
Björlanda Kile on Hisingen is one of northern Europe's largest boat harbors with 2,400 boat spaces and is a popular harbor to moor one's leisure boats in for those who want to quickly reach the Gothenburg and Bohuslän archipelagos.
The fire has broken out further into the harbor where the boats are between six and eight meters long.
