The fire that ravaged a waste management facility outside Gottåsa in Alvesta municipality during the night has been extinguished, announces the rescue service's control center.
The VMA (important message to the public) that was previously issued is now lifted.
The work of laying down sand is ongoing and it is a task that will continue throughout the day until evening, says the rescue service's control operator.
It is the fourth time since 2018 that a fire has started at the same waste management facility, reports SVT News Småland.
